"Place: Karekar Ave., at the corner crossing Khosravi St. and Salehi st.

A young woman who was standing aside with her father watching the protests was shot by a basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house. He had clear shot at the girl and could not miss her. However, he aimed straight her heart. I am a doctor, so I rushed to try to save her. But the impact of the gunshot was so fierce that the bullet had blasted inside the victim's chest, and she died in less than 2 minutes.

The protests were going on about 1 kilometers away in the main street and some of the protesting crowd were running from tear gass used among them, towards Salehi St.

The film is shot by my friend who was standing beside me.

Please let the world know."

Of late, the turbulent aftermath of Iran's election has been my latest magnetic concern. Kudos to you, Afiq for posting this, and I hope that everyone should at least pay heed on this kind of issues that tainted our Islamic history. we should really get out from our snug comfy little Boleh-land and start looking at others to reflect back to our own society and history in the making. In fact, the crisis that's happening in Iran is getting bloodier everyday.

I stopped reading 'Reading Lolita in Tehran' for this time being, because the book is so heavy with controversial Iranian issues. Some backgrounds: Since the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979, the face of Iran never be the same again. It also been called an event that "made Islamic fundamentalism a political force... from Morocco to Malaysia". With Shiah cleric Ayatollah Khomeini as its de facto leader of the movement, Tehran had many major changes. But now, the latest election's result had initiated a very controversial question; Did Ahmedinejad really win?

No one knows that.

I am very well aware that, to get everyone on this earth be enrolled under one banner is almost impossible. Nevertheless, the heterogeneity should make humans more mysterious yet wonderful, aren't we? But in the name of fucking politics, we brothers and sisters readily to shed blood and hurt each others. Some of us ignorantly neglect such tragedy because it's happening on the other side of the globe owing to the fact that such thing won't affect us much anyways. Therefore we didn't even bother to even be mindful of such issues. Always remember that, politics should never be the reason for us to be torn apart or be a license for us to kill or hurt each other. Ever.

Let us pray the best for our brothers and sisters. That is the least that we can do, aren't we?

I hate to say this, but sometimes I think that the politicians are the ones ruining and spoiling everything.

I was born in a darah-Keris family. Therefore, it's been in my blood since back then and both my joint family and nucleus family are the Keris supporter. I still remember when I was in primary school, I would hang the posters around the kampong and stayed up till midnight during General Election. I used to follow my dad here and there, a true Keris henchman, campaigning from house to house with the candidate and I found it very, very interesting because it felt good to watch my dad and his colleagues 'preaching' to the households. That's how I became a staunch Keris supporter too but still and all, I am not totally blinded by it.

Anyway, I am one of expanding 27 million Malaysians and totally bewildered by my homestate, Perak political circus. About 2 days ago, we saw an outrageous behaviour of how our so-called leaders in massive brawl; almost identical with the fight that broke in South Korean Parliament before. Politics is the art of the possible, but these people (politicians) are not fighting for the Rakyat anymore. It's all about gobbling and guzzling more projects, money and tenders. I am a rightist, but being a rightist didn't mean that we have to listen ONLY the rightists' dogmas; and vice versa. They have turned our Parliament and House into a bickering mamak stall where the can shout, accuse and downgrade themselves into a bunch of helpless monkeys fighting for more bananas. Are they really the best people to lead and represent us, the Rakyats? Heaven forbid that!

And to the Rakyats, stop being so obsess with those sugar-coated words from them politicians. I will never understand why people getting so psyched-up upon hearing those only-on-paper manifestos. Kudos to Anwar Ibrahim, he's a good example of a person with big mouth, good excuses, and sodomizing more promises; but lo and behold, the Rakyats with small brains still waiting for more excuses made from Nirvana. Wake up!

Sleepy Pak Lah or Pink-lipped Najib, Nik Aziz or Anwar Ibrahim; I don't fucking care.

I want my Malaysia back and no matter how thick the moola in your pocket; remember; we made you.

Update: Awesomeness. So taiko-lah our leaders!

[Muslims, Lolita & Darwin]

~ ~

I've been reading Azar Nafisi's Reading Lolita in Tehran, and I swear I could feel something inside of me is helplessly scuffling, trying to get out or to be heard. This books has become my latest triumphal opium and I found that this book is infuriatingly provocative. As the story unfolds, the readers will be surprised with several sensitive issues regarding our Religion and its devotees. Some people will definitely throw this book and consider it as total garbage and blasphemous.

While I was reading this, my oblongata is busy tracing back memories back when I was in Matriculation, and I was one of those spectacled-with-thick-coursebooks Biology students. I was all psyched up for the second semester because in Biology we will learn about the infamous Charles Darwin, the father of Theory of Evolution. But surprisingly, our lecturer, Madam Salbiyasota told us that we won't be going to study the 'Human Evolution' part due to Darwin's religious dogmas but we still able to study about his idea of 'Natural Selection" during the lecture. So we discarded that chapter.

Why we didn't learn about Darwin's Theory of Evolution?

Because 'some' people think learning the-man-evolves-from-apes-theory is blasphemous and heretical. Therefore, to ensure that the students won't be thinking too much on this theory or worst, believe in such absurd theory because this might lead students' faith in Islam went astray; we tossed away the chapter. We banned knowledge because we fear that we will subconsciously convert our children to Christianity or Atheism. We admonish our children and later generation to steer clear of 'bad' knowledge and don't even bother to read or know the real essence of the knowledge. Just stay out of it, and you'll get a pie from the skies. Bullshit.

We are so vocal in defending Human Rights but condemning the homosexuals like they worth nothing more than a penny. We never bother to find solution but so damn good in pre-judging others and their behaviors. Yeah, perhaps it's easier to held stupid demonstration against Zionism, McDonald's or Starbucks than finding solutions or even bother thinking what Islamic economic jurisprudence is all about. It is easier to point our fingers blaming un-Islamic governmental system than visiting Masjid at least once a week.

I think, sometimes we use the veil/hijab/tudung/chador/purdah/yashmak not to cover the aurat of our mothers and sisters but to cuff and purblind their eyes. Plus, from politics, education, religion, sexuality and social behaviors, we silently admonish our future children to be sore cowards; choose the same path that been followed by others in your ancestry like there is only one road that lead to Heaven.

Now are we still wondering why Muslims get left so far behind and shook our head in denial?

The bitter truth is now, I am pretty addicted to Facebook. I didn't really keen on Facebook in the first place. It seems complicated and stalker-friendly version of Friendster and Myspace. But of late, I open the FB site more than I should you know. I feel bad for abandoning my blog for so long, so I gave her a new look. Hope she'll like it!

Other: Extremely dissapointed with political situation in my homestate, Perak. Darn you DAP/PKR! I feel like sending them all to slaughterhouse! (Anwar Ibrahim, you'll go first!)

Other II: I opened my dusty, untouched Friendster and read your message in my inbox. It was beautifully written! Thank you! You know who you are! and yes, together we'll give it a chance!

Sultan dikeji, demonstrasi demi demonstrasi, hendak saman sana sini --- Yang jelas, mereka diperkuda. Dan terlalu bodoh untuk memilih menjadi kuda tunggangan politik keji.Tidak payah hendak melihat Napoleon, Squealer dan rakan-rakan mereka sekarang ini...

Nah, buka sahaja akhbar.

[the12thGeneralElection (pt.II)]

~ ~

The result is out. I slept late last night just to wait for the full result to be announced. Perak (my state), Penang, Kelantan, Penang & Kedah fell into the hands of the opposition. I gawped. Is this the dawn of something better or a nightmare that we going to get through. I respect the democracy, but can't the voters ever think that they are putting the country in great risk? Gee..I can't wait to join political force. I won't just sit and see what gonna happen next.

The 13th election going to take place in 4 or 5 years from now. By that time, I am 25 or 26 year-old. Legitimate enough to cast a vote and stand up my country. Perjuangan Masih Belum Selesai.

[the12thGeneralElection (pt.I)]

~ ~

Today is my Boleh-land 12th General Election, as a not-so patriotic citizen of this country, I went to 4 (yes, four!) election places around Shah Alam; Section 16, Section 17, Section 18 & Section 19 (maybe).

I woke up around 10 a.m (feeling sucks because initially planned to go for a jog!). Then, I decided to visit those election places around Shah Alam. So, I borrowed Chip's pink Cyber-shot and ride aimlessly on my black Honda bike (haha.). First, I went to the nearest voting centre, a high-school within walking distance from my condominium (ehem!). I started snapping picture crazily here and there. People was staring suspiciously at me. haha. I went to PAS booth, and they a group young women greet me. They were clad in proper baju-kurung, some with Jubah, and properly covered in hijab (with 'membangun bersama Islam's umbrella). But, not so many people were under that tent; maybe they have not so many supporters there or they already went home). In contrast, BN booth are pack with people, with makciks in blazing red attire that obviously symbolizes their undoubtful support to the present Government. I was given a pack of rice with chicken for lunch in white polystyrene (don't they realize that polystyrene is very harmful?). Since I have nothing in my stomach I just took it and say Thanks. (If only they'd known that I still can't vote).

I saw soooo many BN cars that carried in and out people to the voting center.

"Makcik, who are those people? Phantom voters?"I asked curiously with a grin to an auntie.

"No-lah, they are the legitimate residents around here that support BN but having problem to get here. So, we (BN) will fetch them from their home to ensure they still can cast a vote. Those cars, SUVs, 4X4s bleong to some of us that volunteered to fetch those voters" She sheepishly replied.

"Owh...".I continued eating my free lunch.

After finished my lunch, I said thanks and marched myself out to my bike.

[GeneralElection?]

~ ~

My Boleh-land going to have its 12th General Election this upcoming week. All the campaigns, fingers-pointing, posters, commercials, really make me ...ermm, SICK. To both parties, BN and BA, this post is specially dedicated for you. :)

Dear Barisan Nasional,
1. I love the progression of this country, before. Under Tun Dr. Mahathir, where everything ran smoothly and rapid changes can be seen here and there. Pak Lah, are you sleeeping? Yes, you do. Sometimes.
2. What is Islam Hadhari? Another version of Islam? a Modernised ones? Leaders without hijab? Revise the Holy Quran, please. Not your 'Guide of Islam Hadhari'.
3. Why there are sooo many foreigners workin here, in Malaysia? Please stop flooding my country for God's sake! There are plenty of jobless Malaysian right under your nose!
4. Do something to gain my vote next 5 years ok?! Or else, you'll lose one precious vote, for sure!
5. I heart BN (UMNO, MCA, MIC)... Heee...

pas.jpg

Dear Barisan Alternatif,

1. Could you please STOP raising cheap issues?! eg; oil price, Anwar Ibrahim, sodomy, bribery, Altantuya, etc.

2. If you are a real Islamic party, please, do as what our Prophet pbuh did. Please don't lie with the name of Islam.

3. Show us how a prophetic leadership. You scared us out with your so-called Islamic agenda.

4. I Love my religion. Don't taint it with continuous animosity, empty promises, blah, blah, blah.

5. I heart you BA (PAS, KEADILAN, DAP) ...erm did I missed annything?
photo-170.jpg

Here the reasons why:1. I hate people blaming, finger-point, hate each other. C'mon-lah, we Malaysian maa...Let's go mamak and settle this down.

2. I used to follow my parents, who both are staunch followers of BN. I hated whenever the YB raising his voice to spice up his speech. Few more decibels, I'll be deaf.

3. Whenever the election season come pay a visit, all I eat is nasi bungkus in white polystyrene. My mom and dad will be busy campaigning. No breakfast, No Lunch, No Brunch, No Tea, No Dinner, only Supper (they will be home with whatever leftovers at the pusat).

4. I don't know which side is right, and which side is wrong. It'll be much easy if both party stop lying. Then I'll know which is more capable in running this country. (I know that'll never happen)

5. The utmost important reason is.....I am still 20++, which mean I am not legitimate enough to VOTE! TQ!

p/s: Who the hell started this war at the first place?? Curse be with him/her. Ape shit. Sonofabitch!
