[ThePain]

~ ~

I had my first meeting with my fellow Ethos! members this evening, and I completely stressed out throughout the meeting. Why am I writing this? Because I have to let these out to someone, or something. Since I have no one to discuss regarding this, I will just type this out to sooth my own feeling.

Today's meeting was my first meeting as a newly-elected president of Ethos, and God knows how anxious I was. This 'presidential' thingy is really, really preyed on my mind, since I never lead an organization before, just a mere member or someone assisting the 'president'. Well, I believe it is much easy to be a Muhyiddin Yassin than being a Najib Tun Razak, and I thought it will not be this hard, to be a president. The bitter truth is, I think I screwed up during that almost-two-hour meeting. I lost track of time, I was nervous as hell, I forgot to say thank you and I think I looked stupid when I was trying to crack a joke. My points were unorganized, my words fell into the drains and I think the whole meeting is an utter failure. A sheer catastrophe.

When I was just a member, everything seems so easy from the bird's-eye view. All I have to do is address the ideas, run it and sometimes complaint about it. Thanks to Lady Karma, now I have to endure all the words, and to meet all the expectations. It is in stark contrast of worm's-eye view, where you have to find whatever in front of you; smell the dirt, touch it and do something about it. It is different. Way much different.

I believe that leadership is not just about 'talent', whether you're biologically talented in leading others or not. It is about choices. To be or not to be. The two roads diverged in the yellow woods, yadayadayada. In fact, it is like an open book, you can choose to read it or vice versa. Period.

And now I must improve myself to improve others. I must seek ample knowledge about this matter and repeat not the same mistake. I am looking forward to meet Nana to seek for her tips and opinions, and trying to re-read Stephen R.Covey's The 8th Habit.

I must not quit.

p.s: IF, everything is going your way, expect SHITSTORMS.

Sejak ada model plane atas meja, hidup rasa lebih meriah. Thanks Liyana!

p/s: Kepada 2 gadis bunkface, tahniah sekali lagi. Semoga bahgia hingga ke anak cucu dan dimurahkan rezeki hendaknya.
p/ss: Izza, kembalikan PLANNER aku!

[Rainy Days]

~ ~
Raindrops tickled my face not long ago, and I care not to wipe them from my face. Maybe acidic, some people might say. Still wondering I am, how these small drops of heaven can turn into something harmful. They are timeless dancers that dance from heaven to reach earth, to nurture, enliven and give a ray of hope to the fields.

I am just a mere human. One out of millions, sharing the same air you breathe, the grass you step on, and even the same over-played songs you sing. I am not a politician with razor-edged words. I am not. I am not a clown that will brighten your gloomy days with jokes. I am not. I am not a quitter, just because you asked me to do so. I will not.

I see power as the root of all evil. I know Hitler, Pol Pot, Idi Amin or Saddam. I saw how they'd turned nations upside down. But I also see power as the seed of better tomorrows. I've come to learnt power may turn yourself to be Gandhi or Teressa. But I can't help myself from committing mistakes as I walk to the altar. I may stumble, hurt and cry. At times, I soon to realized that, you don't have to prove to anybody around you how 'good' you are. Or how high your potential is. You just don't have to. You just have to sit, and start doing your job.

You can't sew someone's mouth shut. Neither literally nor figuratively. But you always have choices to be made; to shout back at them, or do your what you supposed to do and just be silent. You can always start to bicker around, but I won't get anywhere.

The more closer we are to the Dreams, the more Evil will seek you to chain your feet down to the ground. They are sore losers with tired cliche words to make you doubt. But what didn't kill you will make you darn much stronger.

God is great.

but you are not.

[Christian Louboutin]

~ ~
Acad and I were chatting as usual and suddenly I saw a glimpse of Madam Adzura, and Acad said, "Gila lawa kasut Madam Adzura!".

So I turned my head, just to take a brief look as she's climbing her way upstairs. And my eyes caught the lower, back sight of the shoes. It was blood-red.

It is Christian Louboutin's.

It's drop-dead gorgeous on that drop-dead gorgeous lady.

I can't believe my eyes, and I shouted to Madam Adzura, "Madam, is that Christian Louboutin shoes?" and as expected, it's a YES. After my friends and I had our literature class, we met her but unluckily she wasn't clad in CL anymore (of course, it was raining this evening) and we had a little chat about her shoes. How much it cost, where did you buy it, blah blah blah. And she admits that she's quite amazed how on earth I know those are Christian Loboutin's (since I'm a guy, and I wear no high heels).

Those pricey shoes are not just a sheer pair of shoes.

It's a piece of art.

Those red bottom shoes only have FIVE boutiques in the States. Malaysia? In your dream, ladies. Surely those shoes worth thousands, and maybe you may buy hundreds of shoes with that a pair of CL. Celebrities ranging from Britney Spears, Jolie, Mariah Carey, Kate Bosworth, Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Christina Aguilerra, to name a few. It's a must have shoes in Hollywood, for sure and today, I saw Madam Adzura rockin' in it! How cool is that? It's like a seeing a piece of Britney Spears in Shah Alam! Madam Adzura is a new definition of beauty with brain, I must say. Double sexy-ness!

The most interesting about the about it is its history. Go Google for it. Plus, if I'm rich enough, with five figures salary on my paycheck, surely I'll buy my wife to clad in that. Fierce!

p.s: I still wonder why most of darn-famous designers are men. Even Versace is fouded by a GUY. Donatella Versace is just his one lucky sister.

p.s.s: This is my second encounter with CL shoes. You don't want to see how I react in the first time.

p.s.s.s: Again, it's NOT a waste of money! It's like spending money on a Humvee. NOT a waste, people.

[BoOnga ft. WHI]

p.s: Yang penting, made in UiTM. ahahaha!

p.s.s: Kena baca Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad asap!

[Q&A]

~ ~

Today, it is my turn to take charge of Faculty of Education’s booth during our last day of UiTM Customer’s Day 2009. I went there around 11:05, five minutes late, and replaced Hani’s place beginning 11:00 up until 2:00 p.m.  Miss Azieyati and I were assigned to answer the questions by the public/visitors regarding our faculty; the courses offered, how-tos, and blahblahblah.

The event was a blast.  So many questions asked by not just the public, non-UiTM students, but also the undergraduates that currently taking their respective courses in UiTM. There were several questions asked;

    1. Saya dari course _________ tengah amek Diploma, boleh tak saya nak amek Degree in Education? Ada        benefits tak?

Ans: No. You have to re-apply, and re-learn everything.

2. Anak saya budak Matric, senang tak nak masuk TESL nih? Lepas grad kena jadi cikgu sekolah laa kan?

Ans: TESL? Teacher? God, I hate that stigma. I need 15 minutes to clarify and kill the myths.

3. Abang budak Law ke?

Ans: Do I look like a lawyer to you? Can’t blame her though, I clad in grey shirt, black tie and black, unpolished shoes.

4. Can I have your phone no.? We may contact later, you know?

Ans: Sure, sure. Writing on a piece of paper, and handed it to her. Believe me, she’s such a hottie, from OM (Office Management) She looks like a model, I think. Well, a man can dream.

I was asked by a friend of mine to join SIFE and I’m still thinking of it. If I’m about to join it, most probably I will resign from my post in PMFP.

Conclusion:

1. I think we’re so darn lucky to be in TESL program. I can list you tens of reasons, for sure. So, taking it for    granted is a no-no.

2. TESL = Teacher is a myth. Go tell the whole world!

3. Good (looking) girls do come to such event. Hehehe.

4. UiTM is so rich, I think. The foods, the brochures, the exhibition, are totally awesome. UiTM memang di    Hatiku!

Of Aesth3tics, sunburned, wall climbing and whatnot.

~ ~

1. Aesth3tics was fun. It is Nina and Hud's brainchild-maiden project. Congratulations!
2. The sun is scorching hot lately. And I looked more tanned now.
3. My first wall-climbing experience at the Extreme Park is uber-fun!
4. Climbing the walls clad in long-sleeve shirt, tight jeans and sneakers is plain dumb.
5. Definitely gonna climb again!
6. Engaged in this tittle-tattle with Izza. The sky is falling down.
7. New ambition/dream/enthusiasm/a-sense-of-purpose was born. Get up and go, Moja!
8. Shit happens. So what?
9. Riddles are fun. (
only when you get to solve them)
10. I need to read books!

[WelcomeToTeslville]

~ ~

Welcome to Teslville.

Where the secret lives of the people are not always like they seem.

Where the neighbourhood seems calm and peaceful.

Where the people seems warm with 100,000 megawatts fake smile.

Dangerous enough to kill. Delicious enough to die for.

The question are,

How much you know your neighbour?

How much you wanna know about your neighbour?

We persuade ourselves that we can live with our sins,

Pretend to be someone we’re not as soon as we wake up,

Whisper to ourselves before sleep in the dark.

Sometimes we pretend to be one way on the outside when we are totally different inside,

Everyone has things going on beneath their perfect surfaces,

Trust, something that is impossible to recover once lost,

Those who are the closest can always betray us;

and total strangers can come to our rescue.

In a total desperation,

We eventually choose the simplest way to avoid of getting burnt;

We only TRUST ourselves.

We all have moments of desperation.

and not all people able to see the underlying truth.

You’d have to be Desperate enough to know what’s going on here…

In Teslville.
