[RainOnMe]

~ ~

I'd lost my bike last night. I had a 7:30 pm literature class and after class, around 11 pm, I found that my motorcycle is f***ing gone. It's Maulidur Rasul eve, but still someone has guts to steal away an innocent student's bike like me? Gosh. What happen to the world out there?!?

I just called up my mom right after performing my solat Subuh and luckily my dad went to the Masjid to perform his prayer. So, I clarified everything to my mom ( sure I add some fictional points to avoid of being nagged! ) I shamelessly cried, not because I'm sad but I am seriously scared of my dad if he get ridiculously mad!

My close-knit buddy, Chip said, "Habislah ko, mesti ayah ko suruh hantar your macbook balik rumah, bagi adik ko gune" (You're dead! Your dad will ask you to return your macbook for your little brother to use!) Hahahaha... Tq fellas, you've been so supportive! Hahahaha!

I try hard to convince myself that there's a Hikmah behind all these predicament. (Even though I hardly find one!)

Tomorrow my dad will come all the way from Kuala Kangsar to buy me a new one eventhough I insist that I can always go by the-not-so-rapidKL buses. He said NO,NO,NO (ala Rehab of Amy Winehouse ). I will try to find the cheap ones because I really pity my parents. I really do.

I Love you Mom, Dad!

[AyatAyatCinta: TheValueOfLoveInIslam]

~ ~

I've watched this movie last night, and it's really worth my eyes to get swollen. Ayat-Ayat Cinta is written by a young Indonesian author, Habiburrahman El-Shirazy. This novel-adapted movie is really good to give a perfect example for young Muslims out there in their quest of finding true Love. Initially, it looks like just a mere Islamic movie and novel, but as we get through the novel thoroughly, you'll find this novel is very inspiring and reflects more than just Love.

 ayat-ayat-cinta.jpg

  This novel, and now movie, tells the story of young, good-looking Fahri who is doing his study at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. As a very courteous, responsible young guy, he is admired by four (yes, four) Muslimah;

  • Nurul- an Indonesian in egypt, daughter of a famous kyai,
  • Noura- an abused Egptian girl,
  • Maria- a Coptic Christian girl next door,
  • and Aisha- A girl from German- Arab family.

(Tough choice!) By the end of this movie, Maria converted to Islam and married as his second wife. Aisha, willingly to let his husband to marry Maria because she can obviously see a Muslimah hidden in Maria. However, Maria is fighting over a fatal disease and eventually die. Die in sacred Love towards her husband and her new-found religion, Islam.

[the12thGeneralElection (pt.II)]

~ ~

The result is out. I slept late last night just to wait for the full result to be announced. Perak (my state), Penang, Kelantan, Penang & Kedah fell into the hands of the opposition. I gawped. Is this the dawn of something better or a nightmare that we going to get through. I respect the democracy, but can't the voters ever think that they are putting the country in great risk? Gee..I can't wait to join political force. I won't just sit and see what gonna happen next.

The 13th election going to take place in 4 or 5 years from now. By that time, I am 25 or 26 year-old. Legitimate enough to cast a vote and stand up my country. Perjuangan Masih Belum Selesai.

[the12thGeneralElection (pt.I)]

~ ~

Today is my Boleh-land 12th General Election, as a not-so patriotic citizen of this country, I went to 4 (yes, four!) election places around Shah Alam; Section 16, Section 17, Section 18 & Section 19 (maybe).

I woke up around 10 a.m (feeling sucks because initially planned to go for a jog!). Then, I decided to visit those election places around Shah Alam. So, I borrowed Chip's pink Cyber-shot and ride aimlessly on my black Honda bike (haha.). First, I went to the nearest voting centre, a high-school within walking distance from my condominium (ehem!). I started snapping picture crazily here and there. People was staring suspiciously at me. haha. I went to PAS booth, and they a group young women greet me. They were clad in proper baju-kurung, some with Jubah, and properly covered in hijab (with 'membangun bersama Islam's umbrella). But, not so many people were under that tent; maybe they have not so many supporters there or they already went home). In contrast, BN booth are pack with people, with makciks in blazing red attire that obviously symbolizes their undoubtful support to the present Government. I was given a pack of rice with chicken for lunch in white polystyrene (don't they realize that polystyrene is very harmful?). Since I have nothing in my stomach I just took it and say Thanks. (If only they'd known that I still can't vote).

I saw soooo many BN cars that carried in and out people to the voting center.

"Makcik, who are those people? Phantom voters?"I asked curiously with a grin to an auntie.

"No-lah, they are the legitimate residents around here that support BN but having problem to get here. So, we (BN) will fetch them from their home to ensure they still can cast a vote. Those cars, SUVs, 4X4s bleong to some of us that volunteered to fetch those voters" She sheepishly replied.

"Owh...".I continued eating my free lunch.

After finished my lunch, I said thanks and marched myself out to my bike.

Maaf.
Maafkan saya,
Saya bukan kamu.

Saya bukan seekor anjing demokrasi,
mahupun ekstremis di negara sendiri.
Di Malaysia, Di tanah yang serba boleh,
menjadi seorang yang taksub merupakan amalan biasa,
jika dacing didarahmu,
dacinglah hingga keakhirnya.
jika bulan bersinar dimalammu,
merindu bulan bagaikan pungguklah akhirnya kamu.

Tidak,
kamu tidak hiraukan bangkai membusuk yang ditimbang dacing,
kamu tidak hiraukan bangkai membusuk dilindung bulan,
asalkan cantik dacing dan bulan dimatamu,
asalkan harum menusuk hidungmu,
Itu sudah cukup untuk mengukir senyum diwajahmu.

Ini bumi yang kita pijak,
Ini langit yang kita junjung,
namun kita jauh berbeza, cuma kerana,
timbangan dan sinaran.

Maafkan saya,
Saya Bukan Kamu.
